A graduate of Concord, Massachusetts' Middlesex School, Matt Kafker is a university student with diverse academic interests. When he isn't focused on courses such as Russian literature or quantum physics, Matt Kafker enjoys watching Stranger Things.

In December, Netflix renewed the popular horror series Stranger Things for a third season, which shouldn't be a surprise given the series' immense success. Created by Matt and Ross Duffer, the 1980s-era show became an instant pop culture phenomenon when it debuted in 2016 and the second season has built upon that success.
Season two was released to Netflix in November. Nearly 16 million people in the United States watched the first episode within three days of its release, according to Nielsen. All nine episodes averaged four million viewers during that same time frame. In addition to being a commercial success, Stranger Things has been a critical hit; it earned the 2017 SAG Award for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series and also received 18 Emmy nominations. While there is no release date for the third season as of yet, the Duffer brothers confirmed that they were working on it even before Netflix renewed the series.
